We are thrilled to announce that RG Strategic has successfully secured town planning approval for Unlocked Fitness Studio’s new Pilates studio at 2/205 Weyba Road, Noosaville. This approval marks a significant milestone in the development of a state-of-the-art Pilates facility, enhancing the fitness offerings in the Noosaville area.

The approved Pilates studio will be housed in an existing building, previously occupied by Trilogy Cycles, with a total internal area of 93m² and an external area of 44m². The project involves no external alterations, focusing instead on repurposing the current space to create a modern and welcoming environment for Pilates enthusiasts.

Council Assessment
The Noosa Council assessed the application under the Noosa Plan 2020, focusing on several key areas:
- Recreational Activities Code: Ensuring the proposed Pilates studio operates within a scale and intensity consistent with the local area, the studio will function from 5.30am to 10pm, accommodating up to 10 participants per session.
- Driveways and Parking Code: The existing parking arrangement, previously adequate for a restaurant and service industry use, is deemed sufficient for the new Pilates studio.
Conditions of Approval
The approval comes with several conditions to maintain the amenity and operational standards of the area:
- Operating hours are restricted to 5.30am – 10pm.
- Amplified music in outdoor spaces must cease by 7pm.
- Service vehicle movements are limited to 7am – 6pm, Monday to Saturday, with no operations on Sundays or public holidays.
- Car parking areas must be available at all times for staff and patrons and kept in a tidy and safe condition.
Community and Environmental Considerations
The new Pilates studio aims to complement the existing businesses in the area, including Sum Yung Guys, Springbok Foods, Little Cove Coffee Co., Nisa Thai, and The Bakers Pantry. The studio will offer a high-quality fitness option, enhancing the vibrancy and appeal of the Noosaville neighbourhood.
